Assistant IT Manager overseeing critical IT systems availability at Taj Hotels. Provide support for various hotel technologies while coordinating with suppliers and departments.
Responsibilities
Ensure day to day activity and critical systems are available twenty-four (24) hours per day.
Provide effective support for other systems, including back office, sales & catering and human resources applications.
Act as the hotel’s liaison with both hardware and software suppliers to ensure that the terms of maintenance agreements are followed.
Establish and maintain user procedures and hardware familiarization for all systems.
Coordinate any new system implementation, update or upgrade with hotel staff and hardware or software suppliers.
Assist individual departments in setting up computer training for their needs.
Assist Hotel Systems Manager in ensuring system security procedures are carried out consistently.
Maintain accurate records of system files; software and hardware problems and service requirements.
Develop and maintain a supplier and product list for all stock data processing supplies in cooperation with the Purchasing Department.
Establish and maintain backup procedures for all systems to ensure protection from data loss.
Requirements
Candidate must have a minimum of 3 years experience in a hotel environment.
College degree required.
Knowledge of Networking, Hardware, Database, Microsoft Operating Systems, Infogenesis POS, Opera PMS, Great Plains and High Speed Internet client support is required.
Specialty degree in IT systems preferred.
Candidate must have a flexible schedule.
Position requires strong communication skills for direct interaction with guests/employees and requires the ability to support and train in fast paced, hands on, luxury environment.
Multilingual skills preferred.
Certificates on relevant technologies and applications.
Experience on emerging technologies including management tools, networking stack, AI tools.
Projects handling in terms of managing tasks, communication, liaison with stake holders, mitigation of deviations and timelines.
