About the role

  • Sales Executive developing relationships with independent producers in the South Florida market for group benefits. Responsible for building a territory sales plan and achieving profit targets.

Responsibilities

  • Work with independent producers and brokers to develop strong relationships and profitable business within U100 employee segments
  • Conduct high volumes of quality sales calls with targeted production partners
  • Establish a sales call continuum to achieve specific outcomes
  • Create demand and excitement for The Hartford products and services
  • Educate partner producers and brokers on group benefits small business products and services
  • Maintain a disciplined operating routine and sales process
  • Develop understanding of assigned territory to attain financial goals
  • Build relationships in the market and understand the competitive positioning
  • Align strategies with supporting initiatives to grow market share
  • Develop and maintain an effective pipeline of business opportunities
  • Establish flow of cases to meet growth objectives
  • Effectively manage multiple initiatives, projects, and tasks

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience in the insurance industry desired
  • Strongly Preferred with group benefits or agency experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience strongly preferred
  • Exceptional sales and negotiation skills, preferably in a business-to-business capacity
  • Ability to conduct high volumes of virtual sales calls
  • Proven track record of developing strong business relationships
  • Ability to influence decision making with key partners and closing skills
  • Advanced insurance market and product knowledge
  • Strong interpersonal skills and customer focus
  • Demonstrates a continuing commitment to personal development

  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly motivated self-starter with strong organizational capabilities
  • Accident, Health & Life Insurance License (within first six months in role)
