About the role

  • Business Development Manager responsible for building B2B relationships in textile industry. Driving sales processes for Concept Stores and furniture retailers in Germany.

Responsibilities

  • Build the B2B go-to-market strategy for concept stores, furniture retailers and hotel & gastronomy customers
  • Define target segments, offering packages as well as pricing and margin logic
  • Develop a B2B MVP to test and validate the concept
  • Actively acquire retailers and manage existing accounts
  • Qualify and close initial and follow-up orders
  • Build and maintain long-term retailer relationships
  • Participate in trade shows, showrooms and pop-up events
  • Manage the quoting and ordering process
  • Coordinate closely with Operations on lead times, availability and samples
  • Set up simple CRM structures and sales processes
  • Systematically collect retailer feedback for optimization
  • Analyze relevant KPIs (leads, conversion, average basket, repeat purchases)
  • Derive assortment and process optimizations
  • Prepare for scaling (automation, partner programs, key accounts)

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of experience in business development, sales or key account management
  • Experience establishing new sales structures (startup, scale-up or new business unit)
  • Excellent communication skills and persuasive ability
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong execution skills
  • High degree of ownership and a structured way of working
  • Willingness to travel – you enjoy meeting customers in person
  • Experience in retail, interior, design, D2C or FMCG is a plus
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot, Pipedrive) is a plus
  • Trade show or showroom experience is a plus
