B2B Solution Sales Consultant at Telefónica Germany assisting in complex B2B customer projects. Focused on solution design, pre-sales activities, and customer engagement.
Responsibilities
Independently and proactively support the sales team in lead acquisition, accompany customer meetings and respond to tenders.
Independently carry out pre-sales activities such as designing and preparing proposals, business cases and technical/service descriptions with the aim of increasing win rates, improving forecast accuracy and shortening sales cycles through quality-assured deal management and pre-sales standards.
Ensure the quality, efficiency, documentation and pipeline maintenance of all pre-sales activities as well as responsible pipeline management and proactive contribution to achieving revenue and growth targets.
Organize and conduct customer workshops, product demos and proof of concepts (PoC) to validate solution concepts and actively drive customer decisions, as well as participate in internal and external customer events.
Analyze customer requirements and create detailed technical concepts and architectures for digital services, and support the sales team in proposal presentations and contract negotiations through technical expertise and solution rationale.
Independently develop complex end-to-end solution concepts (IoT device, connectivity, edge/cloud integration, security), taking into account technical, economic and organizational requirements and deriving well-founded architecture and solution decisions.
Provide technical leadership or independently coordinate required resources, partly cross-functional or with external stakeholders (sales, product management, engineering, solution partners) to ensure technical feasibility and a smooth handover to implementation.
Independently monitor markets and trends to identify new technologies and solution approaches, continuously update your expertise in relevant fields, and embed knowledge within the team (enablement/playbooks).
Requirements
University degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Electrical Engineering or a comparable technical qualification with relevant professional experience
Several years of professional experience in B2B sales covering the marketing and consulting of complex solutions, and experience in the IT/telecommunications industry, preferably with a provider of telecommunications or IT services
Comprehensive technical understanding of IT infrastructure, IoT connectivity, network security and cloud architectures to develop viable end-to-end solutions
Solid experience in technically assessing feasibility and deriving value propositions, in proposal development and in pre-sales project management in order to clearly demonstrate business value to customers and convincingly position customer-specific solution concepts
Expertise in IoT connectivity (LTE/5G/LPWA), eSIM/eUICC provisioning, remote SIM management and network architectures, including both technical and commercial aspects
Ability to prepare proposals, business cases and technical specifications, as well as analyze customer requirements and develop end-to-end solution architectures
Excellent customer and sales orientation, presentation skills and strong communication skills in both German and English (written and spoken).
