Responsibilities
- Take on responsibilities for configuration and change management in specialist shipbuilding projects in accordance with applicable process and project requirements.
- Identify configuration items.
- Manage and steer change processes.
- Conduct configuration audits and ensure complete configuration recordkeeping.
- Define and monitor the configuration structure, taking relevant interfaces into account.
- Determine project-specific configuration items.
- Prepare timely baseline reports to capture the design status.
- Consolidate project-specific configuration reports.
- Systematically manage change requests.
- Document all changes in the baselines and verify actual vs. target configuration for consistency.
- Establish configuration management interfaces with subcontractors, customers, and shipyards.
Requirements
- University degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Informatics, or a comparable field.
- Practical experience in configuration management.
- Solid knowledge of common methods and tools in this area.
- Proficient user of MS Office.
- Good knowledge of SAP, Siemens Teamcenter, and IBM Jazz.
- Proactive, professional, and collaborative working style with a strong team orientation.
- Excellent communication skills in German and English.
- Ideally, knowledge of relevant DIN standards for configuration management (e.g., DIN EN ISO 10007).
- Experience with quality assurance processes (AQP) is an advantage.
- Willingness to undertake occasional business trips within Germany.
- Eligibility for a VS-NfD (confidentiality) briefing at project start.
