About the role

  • Konfigurationsmanager for marine projects, managing configuration and change processes. Involved in auditing and documentation with a focus on compliance in Hamburg, Germany.

Responsibilities

  • Take on responsibilities for configuration and change management in specialist shipbuilding projects in accordance with applicable process and project requirements.
  • Identify configuration items.
  • Manage and steer change processes.
  • Conduct configuration audits and ensure complete configuration recordkeeping.
  • Define and monitor the configuration structure, taking relevant interfaces into account.
  • Determine project-specific configuration items.
  • Prepare timely baseline reports to capture the design status.
  • Consolidate project-specific configuration reports.
  • Systematically manage change requests.
  • Document all changes in the baselines and verify actual vs. target configuration for consistency.
  • Establish configuration management interfaces with subcontractors, customers, and shipyards.

Requirements

  • University degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Informatics, or a comparable field.
  • Practical experience in configuration management.
  • Solid knowledge of common methods and tools in this area.
  • Proficient user of MS Office.
  • Good knowledge of SAP, Siemens Teamcenter, and IBM Jazz.
  • Proactive, professional, and collaborative working style with a strong team orientation.
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English.
  • Ideally, knowledge of relevant DIN standards for configuration management (e.g., DIN EN ISO 10007).
  • Experience with quality assurance processes (AQP) is an advantage.
  • Willingness to undertake occasional business trips within Germany.
  • Eligibility for a VS-NfD (confidentiality) briefing at project start.
