About the role

  • Assistant Store Manager at Coach driving sales strategies and operational efficiencies in a luxury retail environment. Leading a team and ensuring service excellence while managing store performance.

Responsibilities

  • Understands organizational objectives and makes decisions in partnership with the Store Manager that align with Company priorities and values
  • Develop sales strategies, initiatives and growth across all categories; communicates goals to the team, tracks store’s performance at all times and achieves sales
  • Holds the management team accountable for personal productivity and management contribution
  • Develops clienteling strategy; implements and monitors over time, to achieve business goals and objectives
  • Resolves customer issues in a timely manner while being solution-oriented and forward thinking; partners with the Store Manager and/or District Manager as needed
  • Evaluates performance of all team members and provides consistent and timely feedback; creates and modifies action plans for continuous development
  • Leverages and understands Coach’s tools and technology to support Service and Operations of store
  • Recruits, interviews, on-boards and works closely with Store Manager on strategies to maintain top-talent; while creating a talent bench

Requirements

  • 1 to 3 years of previous management experience in a luxury retail service environment preferable
  • Possess current knowledge of fashion trends and competition in the marketplace
  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
  • Proficient with MS Office (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Experience using retail systems (i.e. labor management, inventory systems, sales reporting, etc.)
  • Ability to execute at a fast pace
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team
  • Ability to maneuver the sales floor, sales shelves, and stock room; climbing, bending, and kneeling are required
  • Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and, at times, lift and carry product/cartons up to 50 pounds to process product shipment/transfers
  • Ability to meet Coach Scheduling & Availability Expectations, including ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays high retail traffic and sales days.
