About the role

  • Senior Benefits Analyst optimizing employee health and welfare programs at Syneos Health. Ensuring regulatory compliance and delivering a seamless benefits experience across multiple regions.

Responsibilities

  • Administer health, welfare, and retirement plans, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, spending accounts, and voluntary benefits
  • Oversee absence management programs
  • Assist the Benefits Manager with external vendor and internal teams (HRIS, payroll, HR partners)
  • Resolve complex benefit issues and ensure accurate processing of transactions and deductions
  • Identify and implement process enhancements
  • Audit and reconcile benefit data, resolve discrepancies, and maintain data integrity
  • Provide guidance on eligibility, plan provisions, and compliance
  • Develop and deliver benefit communications, orientations, and open enrollment materials
  • Lead or support initiatives such as open enrollment, plan implementations, and system updates
  • Prepare reports for audits and filings, analyze trends, and provide recommendations for cost optimization and program improvements
  • Ensure adherence to laws and regulations (COBRA, ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, IRS)
  • Stay informed on industry trends and best practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 3–5 years of progressive benefits administration experience, including health, welfare, retirement plans, and absence management
  • Experience with vendor management and open enrollment processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and HR systems (e.g., Workday, Oracle, PeopleSoft)
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills
  • Understanding of benefits laws and regulations (COBRA, ERISA, HIPAA, ACA) and IRS rules for retirement plans
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information
  • Strong problem-solving and project management capabilities
  • Proven ability to streamline processes
