About the role
- Senior Data Analyst delivering actionable business insights using data analytics at Sun Life. Leading data initiatives and collaborating with cross-functional teams for strategic decisions and performance analysis.
Responsibilities
- Lead proactive and ad hoc insight initiatives, delivering clear, data-driven recommendations to drive incremental AUA
- Develop and sustain a data-driven culture, mentoring peers and promoting insight-first thinking
- Utilize SQL, Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) and statistical methods to extract, analyze, and interpret data from multiple sources
- Create compelling data stories using data visualization tools and present findings to stakeholders including senior leadership
- Partner cross-functionally with teams (marketing, finance, UX, etc.) to align business questions with analytical solutions
- Develop measures of success for key initiatives and enable self-service tracking
- Support omni-channel performance analysis, with a strong focus on digital
- Translate complex data into actionable strategies and tactics
Requirements
- Bachelor's (or higher) in a quantitative field: Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related
- At least 5 years' experience in insights or analytics
- Strong SQL capability and experience with statistical analysis (hypothesis testing, regression, etc.). Exploratory data analysis (EDA)
- Proven strength in data storytelling and visualization with CRM Analytics and/or Tableau)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to variety of audiences including leadership
- Demonstrated ability to work proactively, manage ambiguity, and drive change through insight.
