About the role

  • Plan Sponsor Reporting Analyst for Sun Life's Group Retirement Services in Canada, developing reporting and data-driven insights for clients with a focus on efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain complex Excel-based reports using intermediate to advanced functions
  • Adept at data discovery to identify and investigate data anomalies and generate insights
  • Liaise directly with key stakeholders to understand business needs and provide suitable analytical solutions
  • Design and create visualization that effectively translates data into storytelling for clients
  • Identify continuous improvement solutions to automate, consolidate, or discontinue processes, focusing on business value & efficiency
  • Build robust documentation practices across all analytical products
  • Comply fully with all privacy, confidentiality, and data security regulations

Requirements

  • 1+ years’ experience in a Data Analyst or Performance Analyst role
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and VBA
  • 1+ years’ experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
  • Familiarity with SQL or Python
  • Undergraduate degree is preferred or equivalent work experience in a related field may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required level of government security clearance
  • Bilingualism (French, English) required for Quebec only
