About the role

  • Senior Metrics & Reporting Analyst leading data governance and reporting initiatives for Vizient. Creating and optimizing Power BI dashboards and translating data into insights for product performance management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the creation, automation, and governance of the data foundation, metric definitions, and dashboards that power the Product Performance Management System.
  • Ensure product and engineering performance data is accurate, standardized, and decision-ready.
  • Partner cross-functionally to deliver portfolio-level insights, establish reporting standards, and translate complex data into strategic narratives.
  • Build, maintain, and optimize Power BI dashboards that track product and engineering performance.
  • Design scalable data models, semantic layers, and reusable datasets that enable consistent enterprise-wide reporting and self-service analytics.
  • Define, document, and govern standardized metric definitions, reporting frameworks, and cadence across the product organization.
  • Validate and ensure data quality and consistency from Azure DevOps (ADO), Jira, and related systems.
  • Integrate engineering and product management metrics into a unified reporting framework.
  • Deliver portfolio-level reporting, executive-ready insights, and strategic recommendations to inform investment governance and product performance decisions.
  • Automate data pipelines and reporting processes to improve efficiency, scalability, and reliability.

Requirements

  • 5 or more years of relevant experience in business intelligence, analytics, enterprise reporting or related roles required.
  • Advanced experience building dashboards and reports in Power BI required.
  • Strong proficiency in DAX, data modeling, and Power BI dataset architecture required.
  • Strong understanding of product management, engineering operations, and portfolio performance metrics required.
  • Experience working with data from Azure DevOps (ADO), Jira, or similar platforms preferred.
  • Experience writing SQL and working with enterprise data warehouse or data lake environments preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience defining and standardizing enterprise metrics and reporting frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and executive-level communication skills.
  • Microsoft Power BI certification (e.g., PL-300) preferred.
