About the role
- Business Intelligence Manager overseeing technical delivery of BI solutions at Future. Collaborating with teams on data integration and analytics for commercial performance.
Responsibilities
- Be a lead developer for the Commercial BI team. You will oversee the technical delivery of BI solutions, including writing complex SQL queries, managing data transformations in Dataform, and architecting data models in Looker.
- Collaborate with other teams within the Data & BI department, specifically Data Engineering and Analytics Engineering, to co-develop data products. You will influence upstream requirements and pipeline design to provide a unified, performant view of commercial performance.
- Be a primary technical advisor for the Commercial division. You will work with stakeholders to translate commercial questions into technical requirements.
- Develop and maintain high-value strategic data assets. You will integrate data from Order Management Systems (OMS) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems with digital advertising data (Programmatic, Direct Sales) to create a unified view of commercial performance.
- Ensure excellence within the BigQuery and Looker stack. You will personally implement best practices for platform governance, scalability, and the use of latest technologies like conversational analytics.
Requirements
- You are an expert in SQL and have experience building production-grade data models within BigQuery, Dataform and Looker (or equivalent tools).
- Deep technical understanding of digital advertising data structures, including real-time bidding, private marketplaces (PMP), and first-party sales metrics. You understand how to turn audience engagement into commercial insight.
- Track record in a senior or lead BI role where you have remained hands-on with technical delivery while managing or mentoring others.
- The ability to translate complex business logic into efficient, scalable code. You value data observability and reliability as much as the final visualisation.
