About the role

• Team Leader for Strategic Purchasing in indirect materials construction at Sunfire. Leading a team in procurement strategy development and supplier management while ensuring process optimization.

Responsibilities

• You are responsible for the strategic purchasing team in plant engineering and promote the training and development of your team members.
• You develop purchasing strategies to optimize procurement processes and implement them.
• You monitor and analyze market trends while identifying potential new strategic partners.
• You identify, evaluate and select suppliers.
• You ensure the development of long-term partnerships and conduct negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms.
• You work closely with other departments, such as Engineering and Project Management, to ensure requirements are implemented appropriately.
• You are responsible for preparing reports and presentations for management on purchasing activities and results.
• You are accountable for the purchasing budget and monitor cost efficiency.
• You identify supply chain risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.

Requirements

• You hold a degree in Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, Plant Engineering or a comparable qualification with relevant professional experience.
• You have at least 5 years of professional experience in strategic procurement.
• You possess solid knowledge of contract law for works and service contracts and have experience in process and project management.
• You are confident and proficient with PC applications, MS Office and SAP HANA.
• You are willing to travel, as you will be on the road for approximately 30% of your working time.
• You have business-fluent German and English language skills (C1).
