About the role
- Structural Design Engineer in STV's Transportation group, responsible for designing and analyzing bridges in Pennsylvania. Engaging in quality assurance and participating in design-build projects.
Responsibilities
- Design & analysis of new and existing bridges, including rehabilitation and seismic retrofit design, and transportation facilities.
- Participating on Design Build Projects and Pursuits
- Perform Quality Control and Quality Assurance on Transportation Projects
- Contract Document production, including drawings and specifications.
- Bridge load ratings using LRFR and LFD
- Review of construction phase submittals
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering; Master’s Degree is a plus
- PE License is not required in PA but is a plus
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience
- Knowledge of PennDOT, PA Turnpike projects
- New Jersey, New York, and other authority experience is a plus.
- Individual will perform design calculations, develop plan details, quantity take offs, specification writing and other technical report writing.
- Experience in analysis and design of bridges, including rehabilitation design
- Experience with MicroStation and STAAD or similar CSI Bridge experience would be a plus
- OpenBridge Design experience.
- CBSI certification would be a plus
