Senior Project Engineer at Capco leading engineering projects in the oil and gas sector. Collaborating across disciplines for complex project execution and system development.
Responsibilities
Support for project planning, including, but not limited to, the activities described below:
Coordination and development of engineering projects that can present different levels of complexity (low, medium and high), including, in the most complex cases, the need to create or expand one or more systems of a process plant (oil, gas, injection water and produced water treatment), while the platform remains in full operation, involving all disciplines (Process, Piping, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Structural Steel, Project Automation, Naval Architecture, Safety, HVAC and Telecommunications, Project Management and Planning, Due Diligence and Materials Procurement).
Requirements
Minimum qualifications (one of the following):
• At least 10 years of experience in projects for the oil industry and offshore production units; or
• At least 6 years of experience in projects for the oil industry and a graduate degree in a field related to the position's activities; or
• At least 6 years of experience in projects for the oil industry and PMI certification.
Proficiency with: Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, Power BI, SAP S/4HANA, Autodesk Navisworks Manage, Autodesk AutoCAD or MicroStation, SmartPlant Foundation, Smart 3D, Smart P&ID and Smart Review, SKM PowerTools, Microsoft Project.
English proficiency sufficient for reading, comprehension and speaking to perform the following activities: supplier, contractor and partner relations; trainings/courses; use of software; interpretation and application of standards, guidelines, specifications and procedures.
Additional mandatory knowledge by discipline:
• Instrumentation: Smart Instrumentation;
• Process/Safety: process simulators (HYSYS, PRO/II and similar), Pipenet;
• Safety: software for monitoring safety studies and risk analysis;
• Piping, HVAC, static and rotating equipment: CAESAR II, PV Elite, Ansys Mechanical and SpaceClaim (or NozzlePRO as a substitute for Ansys Mechanical and SpaceClaim), Pro Ar Condicionado;
• Project Automation: CAD/CAE engineering tools, Smart 3D, CloudWorx, Smart P&ID, Smart Instrumentation, Smart Interop - PROTEUS / ENVIRON / PLAN 360; administration of CAE tools - Hexagon (Smart 3D, CloudWorx, Smart P&ID, Smart Instrumentation) and AVEVA (E3D), MicroStation, Autodesk Navisworks Manage.
Familiarity with Autodesk ReCap Pro, Leica TruView, Leica Cyclone (Register, Model, Enterprise) and WebTag.
Planning and management tools: Microsoft Project, Microsoft Power Automate, Oracle Primavera.
