Responsibilities
Support project planning activities, including but not limited to the tasks described below:
Prepare, review and approve technical documents and engineering studies of all levels of complexity;
Plan, list and quantify prepared documents;
Prepare and review procedures and standards for 3D and 2D project documentation;
Provide technical support to other areas/sectors of the system;
Analyze the impact/need for full shutdowns or specific system shutdowns for implementation of engineering projects in the operational routines of oil production plants;
Participate in all stages of engineering projects from solution conception, basic design, detailed design, implementation and AS-BUILT documentation;
Provide technical support to the Project Management Office (PMO) in the preparation of project schedules and other PMO responsibilities;
Issue technical opinions defining priorities, deadlines, planning and allocation of project resources;
Prepare and issue reports of technical visits to suppliers, contractors, partners and oil production units when requested;
Participate in Working Groups, Commissions, Audits, Inspections, Hearings and Meetings when requested;
Issue, approve and review engineering technical documents applicable to the commissioning phase of projects;
Monitor and provide technical support at the office, supplier sites and operational areas during project implementation and commissioning phases;
Provide technical support to procurement departments of PETROBRAS and its contractors in supplier prospecting, selection, specification and technical evaluations of materials/equipment;
Engage in the prospecting of new suppliers, equipment and technologies;
Plan both the management and execution of commissioning, involving all areas that interface with the activity (Operations, Contractors, Maintenance, HSE and others), defining and detailing the main technical elements, the schedule baseline, the organization and the means for execution of the commissioning process;
Provide all documentation related to receipt, assembly and conditioning and the physical means necessary for execution of the next commissioning phase (pre-operation and start-up);
Identify equipment subject to Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), the conditions for witnessing them and the personnel responsible for monitoring the respective tests;
Monitor assembly, cleaning, inspection and installation of equipment, piping and instruments;
Demonstrate compliance with regulatory standards;
Identify and record non-blocking outstanding items;
Apply Checklists (LVs) or Item Verification Sheets (FVIs).
Requirements
Experience requirements (one of the following):
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in projects for the oil industry and offshore production units; or
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in projects for the oil industry plus a postgraduate degree in a field related to the position; or
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in projects for the oil industry and offshore production units plus PMI certification.
Proficiency with: Microsoft Office, Microsoft TEAMS, Power BI, SAP S/4HANA, Autodesk Navisworks Manage, Autodesk AutoCAD or MicroStation, SmartPlant Foundation, Smart 3D, Smart P&ID and Smart Review, SKM Power Tools, Microsoft Project;
English proficiency sufficient for reading, comprehension and spoken communication required to perform the activities;
Additional mandatory knowledge by discipline:
- Instrumentation: Smart Instrumentation;
- Process/Safety: Process simulators (HYSYS, PRO/II and similar), PipeNET;
- Safety: software for safety study management and risk analysis;
- Piping, HVAC, static and rotating equipment: CAESAR II, PV Elite, ANSYS Mechanical and SpaceClaim (or NozzlePRO as a substitute for ANSYS Mechanical and SpaceClaim), Pro Arcondicionado;
Project Automation: CAD/CAE engineering tools, Smart 3D, CloudWorx, Smart P&ID, Smart Instrumentation, Smart Interop - PROTEUS / ENVIRON / PLAN 360; administer CAE tools from Hexagon (Smart 3D, CloudWorx, Smart P&ID, Smart Instrumentation) and AVEVA (E3D), MicroStation, Autodesk Navisworks Manage;
