About the role

  • Electrical & Automation Manager overseeing vessel electrical systems and automation solutions at Stolt Tankers. Leading R&D projects and ensuring compliance with maritime safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support electrical and automation teams and their challenges across our fleet.
  • Develop and implement electrical long-term vision and strategy.
  • Responsible for R&D and Capex projects.
  • Drive innovation in automation, digitalization, and energy efficiency.
  • Work with the Energy Conservation Manager to find ways to reduce fuel consumption.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, Automation, or related field.
  • Minimum 7–10 years of relevant experience, preferably in maritime or offshore industries.
  • Strong knowledge of marine electrical systems, PLCs, and automation platforms.
  • Experience with shipboard systems such as power management, cargo control, and alarm systems.
  • Familiarity with international maritime regulations (IMO, Class rules, etc.)
  • Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.
