About the role

  • Commercial Contracts Attorney negotiating and drafting commercial contracts for a leading international law firm, providing practical legal advice and handling vendor agreements.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with reviewing, negotiating and drafting a wide variety of commercial contracts and vendor agreements (including software licenses, hardware, hosted services, consulting and recruiting).
  • Conduct due diligence reviews of vendors.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and material with the highest degree of discretion and professional responsibility.
  • Participate in continuing education and conduct research to advance competencies.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines, handle multiple competing priorities and provide practical legal advice.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in contract law and drafting.
  • Previous experience in a law firm, professional services or consulting firm is strongly desired.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with internal stakeholders and third parties.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow up and track open assignments with stakeholders.
  • Motivated individual with an enthusiasm for learning and a positive attitude.
  • J.D. from an accredited law school required and in good standing.
