About the role

  • HR Business Partner supporting a diverse team within Stanley Black & Decker in a hybrid position. Aligning HR strategy with business objectives and driving talent management initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Support the people & culture strategy to ensure HR strategy aligned with business plans and strategic objectives.
  • Drive impact through the annual Talent Review process.
  • Consult with and provide recommendations to the leadership on organizational design that will enable the business to grow and operate effectively.
  • Implement and drive a total compensation structure including base salary, bonus and commission to drive the right behaviors in our sales workforce.
  • Consult with leadership on talent management and development needs.
  • Identify competency/skill gaps and recommend/implement learning & development solutions.
  • Build a strong pipeline of talent to ensure a diverse, high performing organization.
  • Drive recruitment activities including position management, interviewing, sourcing, offer creation, communication and facilitation of world-class new hire orientation, on-boarding & assimilation activities.
  • Partners to build organizational capabilities to address resource and operational challenges.
  • Champions change management by providing leadership to shape the organization’s culture, systems and processes to enable change.
  • Serves as trusted advisor to leadership team on a wide range of business and people issues to include coaching, policy interpretation, employee relations, employee development, recognition & rewards, etc.
  • Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and HR best practices.
  • In concert with leadership, build and drive a positive employee culture.
  • Gather and analyze HR data to provide insights and develop solutions.
  • Partner with global HR counterparts to execute strategic and tactical HR tasks within a Centers of Excellence (COE) Model.

Requirements

  • At least 5-8 years of progressive HR generalist responsibility working with multiple functions.
  • Bachelor’s Degree Required; Master in HR or MBA preferred.
  • Experience working with remote workforce in a matrix environment.
  • Ability to analyze, interpret and present data to a leadership audience using Workday reporting functions.
  • Consultative approach, strategic mindset.
  • Customer focused, adaptable, has strong follow up and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in an environment with multiple competing priorities.
  • Experience fostering collaborative working relationships with business partners, functional leaders and decision-makers, providing influential advice to help them achieve desired business outcomes.
  • Ability to plan, manage, and track projects, and to communicate about them with multiple involved parties.
  • Resourceful and ability to navigate the unknown, finding solutions by navigating through internal and external channels.
