About the role
- Packaging Procurement Manager responsible for developing sustainable cost models and category strategies in packaging at Solenis. Collaborating across teams to optimize procurement processes for efficiency and quality.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain sustainable cost models to understand cost drivers and price transparency.
- Create, Implement, and Sustain category strategies for all packaging categories within scope.
- Develop different award optimization scenarios to minimize total cost of ownership
- Work cross functionally on cost savings projects
- Review contracts ensuring compliance around pricing, payment terms, volume commitments, and rebates.
- Provide problem solving solutions for service-related issues
- Own Supplier Management Process from identifying, qualifying, and supporting the business relationships
- Negotiating with vendors to reduce costs, improve service, quality, and working capital.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in applicable field of work, e.g., Business, Supply Chain, or Engineering.
- 2-4 years of procurement experience.
- Packaging experience
- Must have strong analytical skills – an advanced level of proficiency in Excel and/or other data tools.
- Mathematical and reasoning skills
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
- SAP experience preferred.
