About the role

  • Packaging Procurement Manager responsible for developing sustainable cost models and category strategies in packaging at Solenis. Collaborating across teams to optimize procurement processes for efficiency and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain sustainable cost models to understand cost drivers and price transparency.
  • Create, Implement, and Sustain category strategies for all packaging categories within scope.
  • Develop different award optimization scenarios to minimize total cost of ownership
  • Work cross functionally on cost savings projects
  • Review contracts ensuring compliance around pricing, payment terms, volume commitments, and rebates.
  • Provide problem solving solutions for service-related issues
  • Own Supplier Management Process from identifying, qualifying, and supporting the business relationships
  • Negotiating with vendors to reduce costs, improve service, quality, and working capital.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in applicable field of work, e.g., Business, Supply Chain, or Engineering.
  • 2-4 years of procurement experience.
  • Packaging experience
  • Must have strong analytical skills – an advanced level of proficiency in Excel and/or other data tools.
  • Mathematical and reasoning skills
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
  • SAP experience preferred.
