About the role
- APX Project Sourcing & Procurement Principal at Westinghouse overseeing supply chain for AP1000® Valves projects. Leading sourcing strategies and supplier relationships to ensure value delivery.
Responsibilities
- You will be the primary supplier relationship owner for AP1000® WBS 8 Valves projects
- Be an interface between project teams including project management and engineering and the supply chain organization
- Maintain a comprehensive commodity strategy to improve Total Cost of Ownership while ensuring supply continuity through identification and mitigation of current and emerging risks and opportunities
- Lead the execution of procurement strategies through preferred supplier lists. This involves the rationalization of nonpreferred suppliers and structured awards of business to preferred partners with long-term agreements. These agreements aim to achieve measurable year-over-year improvements in cost, quality, delivery, service, and profitability.
- Review and interpret data from PowerBI and other analytical tools to identify commodity cost drivers and apply insights to sourcing decisions and supplier negotiations
- Lead regular supplier relationship management reviews with necessary and strategic suppliers, engaging teams and senior leadership
- Prepare and deliver materials for supplier reviews, commodity strategies, risk mitigation plans, 4 Blocker assessments, and supplier or commodity gap analysis
Requirements
- BA/BS degree required (Preferably MBA)
- Minimum 10 years of procurement experience (preferably within industries with complex engineering, procurement, and construction projects, with a focus on procurement)
- Minimum 10 years of experience in negotiations including RFI, RFP, RFQ and contract development
