About the role

  • Materials engineer at Sogeclair ensuring compliance with REACH regulations for materials used in projects. Collaborating with teams on material choices and regulatory updates.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure REACH regulatory compliance of materials, substances and components
  • Identify, analyze and monitor regulated chemical substances (SVHCs, restrictions, authorizations)
  • Manage REACH submissions and communications with suppliers
  • Analyze Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and material data
  • Contribute to material selection in coordination with R&D, methods, quality and purchasing teams
  • Propose substance substitutions when necessary
  • Update material databases and regulatory documentation
  • Monitor regulatory developments (REACH, RoHS, CLP, etc.)
  • Support internal and customer audits related to material compliance

Requirements

  • Master’s degree (engineering school or university) in materials, chemistry, materials science or a related field
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple departments
  • Knowledge of REACH regulation
  • Materials/substance analysis
  • Ability to read and interpret Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
  • Management of technical and regulatory data
  • Good level of technical English (documentation, supplier communications)
