Lead BOP supplier development activities from RFQ to SOP readiness at Gestamp automotive. Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams in ensuring part and process quality standards.
Responsibilities
Lead BOP supplier development activities from RFQ phase through industrialization and SOP readiness.
Drive part maturity and supplier readiness tracking, ensuring all quality and technical requirements are fulfilled prior to SOP.
Monitor supplier ramp-up activities and ensure 100% dimensional and process stability before production release.
Conduct supplier audits and capability assessments in accordance with Gestamp standards and automotive industry requirements.
Analyze and interpret measurement reports, CMM reports, and dimensional data to validate part quality and identify deviations.
Ensure implementation of dimensional control systems and corrective actions to maintain part accuracy and process capability.
Support suppliers in solving technical issues related to tooling, forming processes, and dimensional deviations.
Work closely with Tool Engineering teams to review tooling construction, stamping dies, forming tools, and tooling modifications.
Lead problem-solving activities including root cause analysis, corrective actions, and process improvements.
Support RFQ activities by defining technical requirements, quality standards, and part maturity expectations.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Purchasing, Quality, Tool Engineering, and Project Management.
Maintain structured maturity tracking and status reporting for parts, suppliers, and tooling development.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related technical discipline.
Minimum 5 years experience in automotive supplier development, tooling, or metal forming industry
