About the role

  • Vice President managing a team overseeing 401(k) client relationships and advisors at Fidelity. Focus on client retention, loyalty, and revenue opportunities across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • overall accountability for a team of up to 7 Managing Directors (MD)
  • oversee Workplace Investing client relationships primarily for 401(k) recordkeeping
  • establish, uphold, and expand solid and dependable client connections with important decision-makers
  • build, deepen, and strengthen relationships with 13-15 Advisor teams
  • serve as the key relationship contact for these Advisor teams within Fidelity
  • oversee a team of service-oriented employees and partners across the Fidelity organization
  • address both plan sponsor and advisor client demands and challenges
  • assist institutional clients in running a successful benefits program to enhance the welfare of their staff
  • accountable for retention, client loyalty, and revenue opportunities of assigned territory
  • collaborate with the MD, Sales and other business partners in retention activities
  • drive engagement with internal business leaders in joint planning and client strategies to deliver desired outcomes
  • develop strategy and goals for organization that produce year-over-year profitability
  • ensure that team is aligned with all appropriate rules and regulations.

Requirements

  • College degree preferred
  • Relationship management experience preferred
  • People Management required
  • Hold or complete series 7, 24 & 63 exams within 90 days of hire
  • Strong proven negotiation skills spanning sophisticated financial and service delivery related topics, both internal and client facing
  • Ability to navigate and influence executive level business leaders, both internal and client facing across multiple functions and businesses
  • Strong revenue management and overall financial acuity
  • Lead multiple, sometimes conflicting priorities, balancing the needs of the client, the advisor, and the organization
  • Leadership, mentoring, and career developments skills with a tenured team of professionals
  • Validated consultative sales skills
  • Experienced presentation, meeting management, and interpersonal skills.
