About the role

  • Medical Assistant assisting in healthcare delivery at St. Luke's University Health Network. Preparing patients for exams and coordinating care with providers and teams.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the delivery of healthcare support for the practice
  • Conduct pre-visit planning by reviewing and updating the patient’s medical record
  • Prepare patients for examination and escorting them into the exam room
  • Provide other patient care services as needed/directed
  • Communicate and coordinate with providers or Care Team regarding patient care
  • Actively participate in department activities
  • Maintain vaccine temperature logs, inventory and ordering of medical supplies
  • Perform other administrative tasks

Requirements

  • High School degree or equivalent required
  • Current certification as a Medical Assistant from an accepted accredited organization is required
  • Two years of experience in similar healthcare setting is preferred
  • Customer service experience is strongly preferred
  • BLS/CPR: Current or within 60 days of hire
