About the role
- Site Operations Duty Manager ensuring efficient construction site operations at Sizewell C. Leading incident control and managing contractor activities for a nuclear power plant project.
Responsibilities
- Lead as the Incident Controller for site roads and infrastructure, ensuring swift response to any operational issues.
- Maintain and monitor the Green Route, White Spaces, and platform interfaces in line with our traffic management and pedestrian protection procedures.
- Represent site operations in emergency situations, focusing on broader site impacts.
- Manage and control contractor activities, especially outside of normal working hours.
- Oversee road sweeping, waste disposal, noise, dust, and other environmental factors.
- Ensure continuous operational capability and respond to unplanned works due to system failures.
- Work closely with subcontractors, building mutual trust and effective working relationships.
- Produce shift briefings, daily records, and ensure seamless handovers.
Requirements
- Proven experience in incident control and emergency response.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and their practical applications.
- Ability to work independently and share expertise with the team.
- Experience managing logistical information, HGV movements and databases.
- Commitment to personal development and learning.
- Experience in the construction sector, particularly mega projects is desirable.
- Qualifications in logistics or traffic management is desirable.
- Industry-related qualifications or extensive relevant work experience is desirable.
- First Aid and Health and Safety qualifications is desirable.
