About the role

  • People & Talent Manager leading HR and talent acquisition for London office. Responsible for end-to-end HR operations while supporting the New York office too.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day to day HR administration across the UK and US, ensuring accurate employee records and documentation
  • Maintain and manage the HRIS (HiBob) and US HR platform (JustWorks), ensuring data integrity, reporting accuracy, and process efficiency
  • Oversee onboarding to ensure new hires are effectively integrated into the business, including 6/8 week entry interviews
  • Manage off-boarding processes, including documentation and exit interviews
  • Analyse exit feedback to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead end to end recruitment across the UK and US, including job briefs, advertising, screening, interviews, offers, and onboarding coordination
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and support effective hiring decisions
  • Contribute to workforce planning discussions
  • Ensure a positive and consistent candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
  • Act as the first point of contact for HR queries, offering clear and supportive guidance
  • Ensure company compliance with UK employment law, health and safety requirements, and internal policies
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
  • Provide clear, timely, and accurate HR guidance and policy support to managers and employees
  • Manage employee relations matters, with support from external consultant for complex cases
  • Liaise with managers and senior leaders to coach and advise on people issues, from conduct to capability. Escalate more complex matters to the HR consultant when required
  • Support initiatives that promote a positive, inclusive, and high performance culture
  • Lead engagement activities and feedback processes to enhance employee satisfaction and retention
  • Conduct regular people and culture check ins to support wellbeing and engagement.
  • Support and coordinate the annual performance review and pay review cycle, ensuring timelines and documentation are managed effectively
  • Contribute to succession planning discussions and support career development frameworks
  • Help coordinate training initiatives, working with external providers where appropriate.
  • Provide timely and accurate payroll administration to support the Finance Director with monthly payroll
  • Ensure payroll data is accurate, approved, and submitted in line with deadlines
  • Administer employee benefits and act as the main point of contact for benefits queries.
  • Collaborate with the Office Manager on office events (both socials and inclusion/wellbeing), facilities coordination, inventory management, and office security
  • Support basic IT coordination for new starters and leavers, including equipment and systems access setup
  • Cover Office Manager duties when they are on leave.
  • Partner with external HR consultants on complex employment matters including legal advice, redundancies, conflict resolution, major incidents, and significant organisational changes
  • Support implementation of consultant recommendations where required.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a standalone People Manager within a generalist HR and Talent Management and role
  • Experience working in media/marketing services sector is desirable but not essential
  • Strong end to end HR experience across onboarding/off boarding employee relations, performance management, payroll support, and HR administration
  • Demonstrable experience managing recruitment and talent acquisition processes
  • Confident advising and coaching managers on basic people matters, including performance, employee wellbeing, maternity, absences etc.
  • Experience supporting payroll administration and employee benefits management
  • Experience managing and maintaining a HRIS and ATS, with strong attention to data accuracy and reporting. HiBob and Workable experience desirable but not essential
  • Experience supporting annual review and pay cycles, and contributing to training and development initiatives
  • Up to date understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice. Exposure to US employment practices is advantageous
  • Highly organised, proactive, and comfortable working independently while managing multiple priorities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trusted relationships across the business
  • CIPD qualified or working towards qualification preferred.
