About the role

  • Instructional Designer creating effective training experiences for sales teams in residential training and development. Collaborating with SMEs to design content across various formats.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop engaging, effective training programs and materials aligned with adult learning theory and instructional design best practices.
  • Collaborate with SMEs to translate business goals, product information, and process updates into clear, impactful learning experiences.
  • Create facilitator guides, learner workbooks, PowerPoint decks, job aids, and other training assets to support various delivery methods (instructor-led, virtual-led, and self-paced).
  • Support the development and deployment of training content in the LMS (e.g., uploading SCORM files, creating learning paths, tracking engagement).
  • Develop interactive activities, assessments, and simulations that reinforce learning and encourage skill application.
  • Partner with sales enablement and training leads to improve the end-to-end learning experience – from communications and scheduling to facilitation support.
  • Assist with the delivery of live training events (e.g., webinars, workshops, sales meetings), ensuring smooth execution and effective engagement.
  • Measure training effectiveness through feedback, completion metrics, and performance outcomes; use insights to refine content.
  • Maintain and update training content to ensure relevance and consistency across programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Organizational Development, Communications, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in instructional design or training content development, preferably in a sales or commercial training environment.
  • Deep knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design models (ADDIE, SAM, etc.).
  • Proficiency with content authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Rise, Camtasia, Adobe Creative Suite) and LMS platforms (e.g., Docebo, Cornerstone, Workday Learning).
  • Strong presentation design skills (PowerPoint/Google Slides) with a creative eye for visual learning.
  • Excellent communication, writing, and editing skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
  • Experience supporting virtual and in-person learning sessions preferred.
