About the role

  • Leakage Team Manager leading effective leakage detection and water management at Hafren Dyfrdwy. Drive performance and manage resources to achieve regulatory requirements and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a multi ‑ disciplinary team delivering effective leakage detection and identification of unaccounted ‑ for water.
  • Manage people, assets, systems and budgets to meet regulatory and operational requirements.
  • Drive high standards of safety, customer service and performance.
  • Coordinate resources and prioritise leakage activity in line with Proactive Network Control guidance.
  • Work closely with Network Control, Repair and Maintenance, contractors and internal stakeholders.
  • Embed change and ensure sufficient resources are in place to deliver both planned and reactive leakage activity.
  • Accountable for asset, vehicle and equipment standards, budget management, and maintaining a zero ‑ harm culture.
  • Participate in a 24/7 standby rota.

Requirements

  • A full UK drivers licence will be required.
  • Experienced people leader with a proven track record of managing and inspiring teams in a fast ‑ paced, customer ‑ focused environment.
  • Comfortable challenging performance, recognising potential and driving continuous improvement.
  • Ability to lead teams through change and perform effectively under pressure, including during emergency situations.
  • Strong planning, organisational and analytical skills.
  • Experience of budget planning and control.
  • Ability to make sound decisions using management information.
  • Solid understanding of regulatory requirements, health and safety, HR, NRSWA, environmental and quality standards is desirable.
  • Effective communicator who can engage and motivate diverse teams, adapt to change, and maintain a positive, flexible approach.
