About the role
- Leakage Team Manager leading effective leakage detection and water management at Hafren Dyfrdwy. Drive performance and manage resources to achieve regulatory requirements and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead a multi ‑ disciplinary team delivering effective leakage detection and identification of unaccounted ‑ for water.
- Manage people, assets, systems and budgets to meet regulatory and operational requirements.
- Drive high standards of safety, customer service and performance.
- Coordinate resources and prioritise leakage activity in line with Proactive Network Control guidance.
- Work closely with Network Control, Repair and Maintenance, contractors and internal stakeholders.
- Embed change and ensure sufficient resources are in place to deliver both planned and reactive leakage activity.
- Accountable for asset, vehicle and equipment standards, budget management, and maintaining a zero ‑ harm culture.
- Participate in a 24/7 standby rota.
Requirements
- A full UK drivers licence will be required.
- Experienced people leader with a proven track record of managing and inspiring teams in a fast ‑ paced, customer ‑ focused environment.
- Comfortable challenging performance, recognising potential and driving continuous improvement.
- Ability to lead teams through change and perform effectively under pressure, including during emergency situations.
- Strong planning, organisational and analytical skills.
- Experience of budget planning and control.
- Ability to make sound decisions using management information.
- Solid understanding of regulatory requirements, health and safety, HR, NRSWA, environmental and quality standards is desirable.
- Effective communicator who can engage and motivate diverse teams, adapt to change, and maintain a positive, flexible approach.
