About the role

  • Public Affairs Manager representing Bundesdruckerei's interests in political matters in Germany and Europe. Managing key political relationships and organizing impactful events and discussions.

Responsibilities

  • Identification, management and monitoring of politically relevant issues for Bundesdruckerei in Germany and Europe
  • Maintenance and expansion of a network of decision-makers in government and parliament, authorities and NGOs
  • Representation of Bundesdruckerei’s interests vis-à-vis political institutions and public administration, e.g. through association work, meetings or participation in public discussion panels
  • Coordination, preparation and conduct of meetings with relevant political stakeholders
  • Preparation of public appearances and meetings for the Executive Management and department heads
  • Coordination, preparation and execution of political events (including budget responsibility)
  • Organization of committee management and oversight of agencies and external service providers

Requirements

  • University degree or vocational qualification in Public Affairs, Public Relations, Business Administration, Political Science, Journalism or a comparable field
  • Several years of professional experience in public affairs within politics, public administration, associations, agencies or companies
  • Technical expertise in political processes and digital policy topics, as well as experience managing complex projects
  • Cross-functional understanding of business processes and requirements and a clear strategic focus in project implementation
  • Independent, organized and reliable working style with a systematic, methodical approach and a results- and goal-oriented mindset
  • Operational decision-making, assertiveness and implementation skills, confident presence and experience collaborating across different hierarchical levels
  • Initiative, motivation, customer- and service-orientation, proven German language skills, and English proficiency at least at C1 level
