Responsibilities

  • In close coordination with theatre management, you support the building services at Metronom Theater in Oberhausen and ensure the proper functioning of technical systems to maintain smooth theatre operations.
  • Monitor and maintain building services systems, including heating, ventilation, plumbing (sanitary) and electrical systems.
  • Carry out repairs in case of faults or commission external service providers.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Document repairs and inspections.
  • Ensure the reliable operation of technical systems during performances and events.
  • Work closely with other departments.

Requirements

  • Completed vocational training as a facility technician, electrician, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Knowledge of and professional experience in electrical engineering/electrotechnics.
  • Knowledge of plumbing and heating systems is an advantage.
  • Ideally, experience in theatre operations or similar institutions.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
