About the role
- Purchasing professional ensuring cost savings and supplier quality at Schaeffler. Collaborating with category managers for strategic sourcing and compliance tracking.
Responsibilities
- Follow up and report on each category/plant cost savings.
- Track progress on former Ewellix compliancy to Schaeffler requirements.
- Assist on sourcing decisions process preparation.
- Provide visibility/reporting on purchasing achievements and KPIs.
- Regarding all topics managed during interface between BDLM and BIS Supplier & Purchasing performance organization, take ownership of some actions based on demand.
- Guarantee that supplier quality topics are properly managed by plants.
- Category management: provide ad hoc support based on specific needs and demands from category managers.
Requirements
- Can have limited purchasing knowledge and experience.
- Willing to develop skills in purchasing and strategic sourcing.
- Engineering background preferred.
- Product knowledge.
