About the role

  • Purchasing Specialist responsible for global sourcing and supplier management for Sartorius Lab Instruments. Role includes procurement of materials and services, supplier negotiations, and relationship management.

Responsibilities

  • Operational procurement of materials and services
  • Monitoring delivery dates and ensuring quality
  • Responsibility for trading goods on a global level
  • Maintaining continuous positive relationships with suppliers
  • Structuring the existing supplier base and identifying new sources of supply
  • Monitoring supplier performance based on defined KPIs
  • Preparing and acting based on market trends
  • Close coordination with product development for required products and services
  • Conducting price and contract negotiations
  • Administration of framework agreements
  • Identifying and implementing risk management measures

Requirements

  • Successfully completed commercial/business training or equivalent
  • Relevant professional experience in procurement, a sales function, or administrative processing, ideally in a global environment
  • Proven knowledge in procurement
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Experience with SAP
  • Strong, effective negotiation skills
  • Good sense for prioritization with a structured way of working
  • Ability to collaborate constructively within a team
  • Fluent German and English, both written and spoken
