Responsibilities
Independently prepare, execute and follow up on the monthly payroll, including all upstream and downstream processes (e.g., wage tax filings, social security, statutory reporting)
Prepare payroll-related certificates and reports
Act as the contact person for social security agencies, health insurers, tax offices and other authorities, including support during audits and inspections
Provide expert advice to managers and employees on all payroll- and compensation-related matters
Ensure payroll quality, adherence to deadlines and data consistency in the payroll systems used
Contribute to the development, digitalization and standardization of payroll processes
Requirements
Completed commercial vocational training (e.g., certified HR clerk or further training as a payroll specialist); career changers are welcome
Practical experience in payroll processing is desirable
Good knowledge of wage tax and social security law
Highly reliable, with a strong sense of responsibility and a structured, independent and solution-oriented working style
Very good user skills in MS Office, particularly Excel, and experience with payroll systems (e.g., PERSONIO, DATEV, SAP or similar)
Affinity for digital applications and an interest in modern payroll and HR systems
