About the role
- Senior Member of Technical Staff in Threat Intelligence Engineering at Salesforce. Delivering high-quality features and mentoring junior engineers in threat intelligence processes.
Responsibilities
- Independently designs and delivers code for features of moderate scope and complexity
- Consistently provides input and challenges the state of product, process, quality and team direction
- Provides oversight through code and design reviews for features delivered by other developers within their scrum team
- A subject matter expert who drives quality by surfacing areas of impact and risk
- Verifies quality of the code delivered through manual and automated testing
- Automates and streamlines the build, deployment, and monitoring of threat intelligence platforms and tools
- Designs and implements scalable and reliable infrastructure to support the threat intelligence lifecycle
- Manages and maintains the operational health of containerized applications (e.g., Docker) and the underlying infrastructure (e.g., EC2 systems)
Requirements
- 3–6 years of backend or platform engineering experience
- B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong backend development skills and microservice architecture experience (Python, AWS, Kubernetes)
- Proficient with container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), IAC (Terraform/Helm), and event-driven systems (Kafka, Pub/Sub)
- Experience with production services, monitoring, alerting, and observability
- Familiarity with threat data standards a plus
- Ability to mentor junior engineers and work cross-functionally with detection, IR, and platform teams
