About the role
- Manager Technical Services leading IT Operations for Ryder, providing expertise in technology delivery and operational excellence. Responsible for overseeing IT teams and managing services for scalable computing environments.
Responsibilities
- Provides leadership and expertise associated with the definition, selection, implementation, and ongoing support for technologies
- Demonstrate thought leadership for growing people, improving process, and implementing technology industry best practices
- Manages a team to provide independent oversight to IT Operations
- Responsible for the successful delivery of 24x7x365 IT services
- Coaches and counsels employees on performance
- Responsible for the operational tasks for business projects requiring I&O services
- Responsible for the financial knowledge and discipline to manage departmental budget
- Works with the PMO to continually improve the SDLC process as it relates to IT Operations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required
- Five (5) years or more of experience in Information Technology required
- Three (3) years or more in providing IT Operations support required
- Experience of IT Operations technologies and processes including endpoint, network, server, SAN, monitoring, backup, patching, DR, ITSM
- Background in IT Security, specifically IT Risk, Vulnerability Management, and system best practices
- Proven experience in a technical support group and working with technical Project Management
- Understanding and experience with the delivery of IT Operations services
