About the role

  • Senior Analyst managing FTZ compliance for Pratt & Whitney in Columbus, Georgia. Administering customs documentation and providing training, while ensuring process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Administer the FTZs at two sites in Columbus, Georgia.
  • Ensure that all FTZ activities (all customs related documents, accounting, handling of waste, etc) are executed compliantly.
  • Support testing of software to support FTZs.
  • Partner with functional leads to ensure that processes are compliant and improved over time to meet business needs.
  • Participate with other FTZ administrators in a Community of Practice to share best practices and evolve requirements.
  • Interface with the central Pratt Customs Team to support any CBP audits or inquiries.
  • Provide any on-site FTZ-related training.
  • Support internal testing/auditing as needed.
  • Support investigations as necessary.
  • Identify and elevate risks and assist in prioritization of mitigation efforts.
  • Provide support/mentoring to less experienced personnel.
  • Support other department activities as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience working with ITAR, EAR, and FTR or other compliance regulations – a portion of this experience must include Customs
  • OR an Advanced degree in a related field
  • OR lieu of a degree, candidates with 6+ years of experience working with ITAR, EAR, and FTR or other compliance regulations – a portion of this experience must include Customs – may also be considered for the role.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen - This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.
  • Experience with Foreign Trade Zone administration.
  • Trade certifications such as LCB or Certified Zone Specialist are very helpful.
  • Certified Internal Auditor or other like certification is a plus.
  • Six Sigma, Ace, Core designation.
  • Project management skills are desirable.
  • Proven ability to analyze problems, assess options and propose solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Proven organizational skills.
  • Proven self-starter.
