About the role
- Material Program Manager managing supplier activities and executing strategies for ARMY Programs in electro-optical and infrared solutions. Ensuring successful program performance and compliance with financial metrics.
Responsibilities
- Oversee TINA suppliers, with focus on collaborating with the Program IPTs to ensure cost effective material availability for production requirements.
- Proactively monitor and manage performance metrics (cost, schedule, quality, EVMS) to ensure alignment with program objectives.
- Support program capture efforts with New Business Team to get compliant material pricing submittals and develop BOE’s (Basis of Estimates) for MPM support labor.
- Create, manage, and execute MPS (Material Program Strategy and the MPP (Material Program Plan) to enable successful execution of program competitiveness and performance, from the front end of the business through contract closure.
- Provide Supply Chain support for RLPM Gates 0-11 activities and ensures IPDP compliance with the programs and tailoring when applicable.
- Provide financial management such as EV, budgets, targets, working capital, material sales forecasts, etc.
- Monitoring and proactively address performance and financial metrics including those related to cost, schedule, quality, and EVMS.
- Collaborate with other programs to maximize efficiency of program execution including other RI&S programs commonality.
- Travel domestically not more than 15%. Split time equally between the McKinney and Richardson locations.
Requirements
- Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
- Minimum 3 years experience in a supply chain function/role.
- Experience managing supplier performance relative to financials, performance metrics, and/or contract compliance.
