Responsibilities
Support with tenders, bid comparisons and contract negotiations
Maintenance of supplier relationships and conflict management
Monitoring of contracts and ensuring compliance with standards and sustainability requirements
Analysis and optimization of supplier and procurement processes
Preparation and evaluation of price quotations for transport services
Management and maintenance of the freight pricing database
Conducting market and competitor analyses
Aligning pricing strategy with internal and external stakeholders
Planning, controlling and monitoring national and international transport operations
Selection and coordination of appropriate service providers and modes of transport
Preparation of shipping, customs and transport documents
Communication and coordination with customers, partners and authorities
Requirements
Vocational qualification in freight forwarding and logistics services (or equivalent)
Initial experience in rail transport
Strong communication skills, organisational talent, flexibility and willingness to learn
Goal- and solution-oriented, independent, meticulous and reliable work style
Intercultural competence when dealing with international customers and colleagues
Proficient MS Office skills
Business-fluent German and confident English
