About the role

  • Accounting Analyst in innovative financial solutions company, focusing on credit card and payment operations. Supporting operational activities and strategic project consolidation within accounting team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform accounting reconciliations, ensuring the integrity and consistency of information.
  • Develop and refine accounting procedures and journal entry routines related to credit card transactions, CDC (consumer installment credit), assistance services, fees and insurance.
  • Design and monitor operational workflows related to accounting.
  • Support implementation projects for new issuers or products, participating in the creation of the chart of accounts and accounting procedures.
  • Provide accounting support to internal teams and clients, including guidance and training when required.
  • Contribute to accounting and financial analyses, ensuring compliance with standards and best practices.

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
  • Previous experience in accounting, preferably in banking, processors, finance companies, SCDs (direct lending companies), payment institutions, acquirers or card issuers/administrators.
  • Solid knowledge of:
  • Chart of accounts (Assets, Liabilities, Income and contra/offset accounts).
  • Accounting procedures related to credit card operations, CDC, assistance services, fees and insurance.
  • Analysis of allowance for doubtful accounts (PDD).
  • Advanced Excel.
  • Preferred: experience running database queries (SQL).
