Project Director overseeing Data Centre projects for RLB, focusing on client and contractor management. Leading a team and ensuring successful project delivery with a focus on safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
To lead and oversee the successful delivery of Data Centre projects (in conjunction with the support Project Management partners) with a view to securing repeat business.
Contract Administration (which requires a good understanding of building contracts).
Managing the client, design teams and contractors.
Team management duties.
To assist the Project Management Partners in developing a pipeline of Data Centre opportunities.
To support in the development of fee proposals and responses to RFPs.
To support business objectives of delivering value for money in all circumstances.
To carry out assigned duties efficiently and in accordance with processes and procedures.
Comply with established procurement/commercial/contractual strategies.
Take personal responsibility for complying with Environmental, Health, Safety, Security and Quality Standards.
Requirements
Experienced Senior Project Manager / Associate / Project Director with on-site experience.
Data Centre / Mission Critical sector experience is essential.
Data Centre MEP, Data Centre Fit Out experience preferred.
Strong leadership skills and team management experience.
Used to managing clients, design teams and contractors.
Managing Data Centre projects across the design, tender and construction stages.
Chartership - Professional (chartered) qualification (MCIOB, MRICS, MAPM ChPP)
Construction related degree or a similar construction related qualification with wide-ranging technical delivery experience in a similar role gained within a consultancy.
Recognised as a client focused, positive collaborator who shares knowledge freely and offers support to their peers and seniors. Recognised as a team player with a strong willingness to learn.
Demonstrates a positive and proactive approach to the role, and will be committed to delivering customer service excellence, with good commercial results.
