Sales Director leading growth strategies within the Defense vertical at Regal Rexnord. Requires strong leadership and 10+ years of sales experience in vertical sales and Power Transmission industry.
Responsibilities
The Sales Director will lead and execute strategies to drive growth within a defined Defense vertical.
Directs VAM, SAM, and SAE's in defined verticals who interface daily with: End Users, Direct OEM's and referred OEM's, Industrial Distributors/Channel Partners, EPCM's, Industry Trade Organizations
Effectively collaborates with AAM Regional Sales Directors and National Accounts Director
Sets short and long-term sales strategies and evaluates effectiveness of current sales deployment to drive market share growth
Provides VOC input to Business Unit Leadership
Executes Business Strategic Plans
Serves as the escalation point for sales associates and internal customer issues
Maintain a review cadence on funnel and ATO's with sellers and business unit partners
Performance Management of the team
Perform annual review of account segmentation and account assignments.
Deploy sales resources to effectively meet/exceed annual team and individual quote targets.
Reviews SAMP plans for strategic accounts
Leverage KPI's provided by the CRM as a tool in coaching sellers
Maintain C-level relationships at key accounts
Coaches, trains, and develops a group of sellers to overdrive quota
Develops sales talent in the organization and builds bench strength in the organization
Interviews and hires new sales talent as needed
Performs annual performance evaluations for sales team members
Perform twice-annual SMART goal review and execute merit increase assessment
Utilize Regal Rexnord talent review tools to assess talent and potential
Facilitate regional meetings
Leads customer-related trainings and plant visits
Manages root-cause countermeasure (RCCM) process
Trade Organization participation and leadership
Navigate the matrixed organization using 80/20 principles
Requirements
BS in Industrial Technology/Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
10+ years of experience in vertical sales; Power Transmission industry experience preferred in Vertical industries
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Ability to travel up to 40%
Deep knowledge of industry and channel dynamics;
Strong analytical skills with ability to spot trends and drive results
Strategic thinker with proven ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing sales teams;
Skilled in coaching and developing talent to achieve organizational goals.
