About the role

  • Key Account Manager responsible for managing key accounts within the construction and infrastructure sector. Working towards clients' sustainability goals while driving circular economy initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of corporate clients within the construction and infrastructure sector, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts and secure new business within the sector, aligning customer needs with our waste and resource management solutions.
  • Develop a deep understanding of clients’ sustainability objectives, advising on best practices and solutions to reduce waste, increase recycling, and support circular economy initiatives.
  • Lead negotiations to secure long-term contracts that deliver value for both the customer and Reconomy.
  • Track account performance and prepare reports on service levels, cost savings, and environmental benefits delivered.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including operations, marketing, and sustainability experts, to ensure seamless service delivery and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in account management, business development, or sales, within the construction, infrastructure and/or waste management sectors.
  • Strong understanding of the waste management industry, circular economy principles and sustainability challenges facing the construction sector.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proactive, customer-focused, and driven to achieve results, with a passion for sustainability and a waste-free future.
  • Relevant degree or professional qualifications in business, environmental science, engineering, or a related field is desirable.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
