About the role
- Head of HR leading a 10-member HR team for a social services organization. Overseeing HR processes, payroll, and organizational development in Berlin.
Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for personnel management, with a special focus on payroll and employment-law matters
- Ensuring legally compliant and timely processing of payroll
- Strategic development of all HR processes and instruments, in particular in the areas of payroll, compliance and digitalization
- Advising and supporting executive management and leaders on HR and employment-law issues
- Managing cooperation with the works council
- Responsibility for the personnel budget and reporting
- Leading, developing and motivating the HR team
- Further developing the employer brand and supporting cultural change
Requirements
- Completed degree with a focus on Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Business Administration or a related field
- Several years of professional experience in a generalist HR role, including at least 2–3 years in a leadership position
- Sound knowledge of labor law, collective bargaining law, social security law, payroll tax law and modern HR instruments
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Strategic thinking and strong implementation skills
- Experience in change management and/or digitization projects is a plus
