About the role
- Technical Program Manager responsible for managing AI projects at RBC Borealis. Collaborating with cross-functional teams and leveraging program management tools to drive results.
Responsibilities
- Provide project management support across our Commercial AI initiatives
- Leverage program management tools and frameworks to drive results (e.g. JIRA, Confluence, Agile, etc.)
- Formulating program plans/milestones that balance business needs, technical risks, product performance, schedule constraints, costs and resource availability
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery of Commercial Banking focused AI projects for clients from ideation to execution, while ensuring adherence to timelines, budget and quality standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional client teams to manage AI projects through all stages, including performance monitoring, optimization and ongoing product versions
- Translate data into compelling narratives and insights for executive audiences to secure leadership support
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years in technical program management, preferably in AI/ML or technology sectors
- PMP, Scrum Master, or equivalent project management certifications
- Technical AI/ML Knowledge Requirements
- Understanding of artificial intelligence and generative AI concepts, applications, and industry trends
- General knowledge of ML methodologies including reinforcement learning, unsupervised learning, and computer vision
- Experience working with technical/research teams and translating research into commercial applications
- Proficiency in Scrum, Kanban, and other agile frameworks
- Experience planning, executing, and managing sprint cycles
- JIRA for issue tracking and project management
- Confluence for documentation and knowledge management
- Additional PM tools (Microsoft Project, Asana, Monday.com, etc.)
- Ability to manage complex, multi-disciplinary projects across technical teams
- Experience delivering AI solutions in enterprise environments
- Strong communication skills for technical and business stakeholders
- Identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks in AI initiatives
- Managing computational resources, datasets, and team capacity
