Responsibilities
Develop and implement a group-wide occupational health and safety strategy that strengthens and continuously develops a sustainable safety culture
Define strategic and operational HSE objectives and support plants and sites during implementation
Lead a national and international HSE/Occupational Safety team and actively develop specialists in their roles
Initiate and manage change processes to embed modern safety and health standards across the company
Plan, conduct and follow up audits, risk assessments and accident analyses — including deriving effective prevention and improvement measures
Benchmark and introduce best-practice models from industries with high safety-culture maturity
Work closely with authorities, internal committees and co-determination bodies, including representing the company in relevant networks
Contribute actively to the company’s sustainability and ESG strategy, in particular on Health & Safety
Requirements
University degree, preferably with a focus on occupational safety, engineering or natural sciences
At least 5 years of professional experience in occupational safety and a recognized qualification as a Safety Specialist (Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit)
Experience leading teams and managing complex change processes
Strong communication and facilitation skills to provide direction and assurance to diverse stakeholders
Analytical and business-oriented mindset, decisiveness and clear results focus
High self-motivation, sense of responsibility and the drive to actively shape safety culture
Willingness to travel nationally and occasionally internationally, and very good command of English
