About the role

  • Software Support Engineer providing technical assistance for IWS software at Storage Solutions. Collaborating with customers and teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues while working on-site and remotely.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first line of support via phone and email for customers experiencing issues with our Invar Warehouse System (IWS) software.
  • Collaborate with customers and internal teams to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues with IWS software packages.
  • Maintain, track, and escalate support tickets as needed to ensure timely resolutions.
  • Monitor customer production environments to identify and proactively address potential issues.
  • Assist in testing new software releases and custom implementations, providing valuable feedback to the development team.
  • Set up internal development PCs and test servers to support new implementations.
  • Travel to customer sites (up to 25%) to deliver hands-on, on-site support, including commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of automated warehouse equipment.

Requirements

  • A recommended degree in Computer Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • A working knowledge of SQL (preferred but not required) and experience with Windows environments (required)
  • Experience with C# .NET is a plus
  • An ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
