About the role
- Product Owner managing the product backlog and collaborating with cross-functional teams in Ulm, Germany. Responsible for stakeholder engagement and ensuring regular product releases.
Responsibilities
- Manage the product backlog for a software product
- Create, maintain, and prioritize product requirements
- Manage interfaces between involved partners such as product managers, project managers, development and test teams, etc.
- Ensure regular product releases
- Coordinate features with the product manager, including decisions on development priority
- Actively participate in Scrum events such as Sprint Planning, Reviews, etc., including clarifying questions about requirements during the sprint
- Implement appropriate methods for measuring success and derive improvement measures
- Review and accept functionalities developed during the sprint
Requirements
- Completed technical degree (e.g., Computer Science, Business Informatics with a focus on software development) or equivalent
- Professional experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role within an agile environment is required
- Technical understanding of modern software development (Java, C++)
- Proficient with agile development and planning tools (Atlassian tools: Jira, Confluence, etc.; IBM/Rational DOORS; MS Project)
- Certification as a Scrum Product Owner (PSPO/CSPO) or equivalent
- Strong communication and coordination skills, sense of responsibility, and organizational skills
- Excellent German and English language skills.
