About the role

  • Supervisor Credentialing overseeing credentialing staff at Providence Centralia Hospital. Ensuring compliance with bylaws and training team in credentialing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Providing supervision of credentialing staff.
  • Assuring that all medical staff practitioners are credentialed in accordance with professional staff bylaws, policies and procedures, state and federal rules.
  • Supervising all processes related to timely and appropriate verifications of all aspects of credentialing and privileging of the professional staff.
  • Serving as resource to credentialing staff.
  • Monitoring the productivity of the team and leading in managing quickly changing priorities for all assignments.
  • Providing training to staff on department credentialing processes and developing training guides for Credentialing Department tasks.

Requirements

  • Within 2 years of hire CPCS or CPMSM certification through NAMSS (National Association Medical Staff Services).
  • 2 years Executive/administrative level work within a medical staff office
  • 2 years Supervisory or lead experience.
  • 3 years Credentialing experience in acute care, CVO (centralized verification organization), and/or managed care environment.
  • 3 years experience with set up, reporting and data base management tools ASM/MD staff or similar credentialing software
