About the role

  • Works as a Customer Service Specialist in Claims handling automotive inquiries via phone and email. Assisting with contract terms, managing claims, and providing customer service support.

Responsibilities

  • Supports claims department by managing a high volume of calls and emails
  • Assists customers with contract terms and conditions
  • Initiates new claims and reviews claim files
  • Verifies maintenance and payment issuance requirements
  • Processes claim payments and provides updates on claim statuses
  • Delivers exceptional customer service
  • Performs essential administrative tasks
  • Collaborates with management as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of clerical/administrative experience
  • 2+ years of customer service experience
  • 2+ years of call center experience
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred
  • Knowledge and experience within the automotive or insurance industry preferred
  • Previous exposure to auto/RV warranties preferred
  • Strong understanding of all contracts administered by Portfolio
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Detail oriented, accurate, and highly organized
  • Excellent understanding of computer hardware and software, including Microsoft Office Suite
