About the role

  • Account Manager responsible for managing cybersecurity sales efforts for State, Local, and EDU clients. Collaborating with the SLED team to drive client acquisition and retention in the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

  • Manage existing clients and drive sales efforts for net-new customer acquisition within a named account territory.
  • Manage all aspects of your assigned accounts, from prospecting to implementation of solutions.
  • Establish Proofpoint and yourself as an IT Security trusted advisor for State, Local, & EDU clients.
  • Report to the SLED Regional Sales Director and cover named SLED accounts within a geographic region.

Requirements

  • Experience that demonstrates repeated success selling-into and managing Public Sector clients.
  • Strong existing network of clients, channel partners, and industry professionals in region.
  • Knowledge and experience in the Cyber Security and/or software IT industry.
  • Ability to succeed with high levels of autonomy and self-motivation.
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve complex issues and find effective solutions.
